Subject: Dave Briars of McLibel has passed away from colon cancer

The Genetic Engineering Network would like to add that they are also so very
sad to hear of the death of David Briars. The limited email communication we
had with David, both personal and otherwise, over the years left us with so
much admiration and respect for a man, who worked incredibly hard for justice
and truth. He was very much missed when he bacame too ill to continue to work
and it is shocking to think that he was not just taking a temporary break, we
werre very much hoping that it would not be too long before he regained his
health and returned to campaigning.
We send our thoughts and love and respect to all his family and friends who
must miss him so dearly.

I know that many of you on these many lists personally knew Dave Briars of 
McLibel News Network. He was courageous and kind and wanted to do so much 
to help the world. He was a very unusual person with lots of wisdom and a 
shining example of a true activist for good of the environment. He cared 
so about people. I know he will be missed.
May he have an eternal place in the memory of Jehovah God, who calls the 
dead to live again.
