Monsanto's expanding monopolies into water supply

Monsanto is not the only multinational planning to sell bottled water in
rural India. Hindustan Lever, the Indian subsidiary of Unilever also
plans to sell water at an amazingly low price of Indian rupee one for a
bottle of one litre (it comes to about two cents per bottle)!

Hindustan Lever plans to utilise its widespread mobile icecream vendor
network (on peddled tricycles) to reach the villages. Its icecream,
being sold under the brand name Vedilal, has been a loss making
enterprise.
