Meeting of the Open-ended Ad Hoc Working Group on Biosafety and on the
Extraordinary Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention
on Biological diversity that will be held respectively from 14-19 and
22-23 February 1999 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.

Should you go to the meeting could you ask why Cloumbians sell dead
babies to pharmaceutical companies?
I found this on page A26 of yesterday's NEW YORK TIMES:
WATCHDOG URGES RECALL OF CLOT-DESTROYING DRUG
Washington, Feb. 10 (AP) -
Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, uged
the government today to order an immediate recall
of a clot destroying drug, Abbokinase, saying it
could be contaminated...Public Citizen said the
agency had ignored its own inspectors advice to
seize $100 million worth of Abbokinase and the raw
materials used to make it: kidney cells obtained
from dead infants in Columbia.
CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON DOWN THERE?
