19th Annual Seed Biology Meeting

This is too far from California for me to attend, but perhaps some of our
colleagues in or near the UK would consider it. It's an important forum in
and around which to address the issues of genetic integrity and genetic
engineering. (And what better way to celebrate the equinox...)

     Dear colleague

You are invited to the 19th annual seed biology meeting which is to be
held on 23 March 1999 at Horticulture Research International,
Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. As in previous years, the meeting
promises to be a valuable forum for researchers to exchange ideas on
all aspects of seed biology. For those who have not attended
before, this annual meeting takes the form of short 15 minute research
presentations, followed by informal discussion. A limited number of
poster boards will also be available for displaying work if you can
     let us know in advance.

Registration (including booklet of abstracts and buffet lunch) is 20
UK Pounds, and forms and further information can be obtained on
request from Andrea Grundy at HRI Wellesbourne:

Closing date for offering a short paper of poster presentation is 15
January 1999. We hope that you will be able to join us in March and
look forward to hearing from you. Please pass on this information to
any of your colleagues who have not received this letter and would
     like to attend the meeting.
